Brief description: The Sheikh Sefi Society is an independent selffinancing organization that deals with all legal business activities. The aim of the society is to encourage development of Azerbaijan national culture. Together with leading artistic and public organizations, the society analyses modern tendency in development of the national culture, as well as carries on a special and consistent work for its evolution.
For domestic or foreign private and juridical persons, the society provides an expert commission that estimates the national value of carpets and handicrafts, and grants a permission certificate for exporting these objects. The society also render expert and middleman services in purchasing carpets. Moreover, among its other services, there are helding of auctions, folklore festivals, charitable events, lotteries, as well as exhibitions home and abroad. Besides, it provides publishing, tourism, and transport services. In the framework of international museum tourism, the society organizes excursions and trips to traditional handicraft zones of the country.
The society also promotes to development of creative groups and workshops.
