Brief description: The museum exhibition
space covers the collection of
the samples of the Azerbaijan natural resources.
The museum consists of
geological, palaeontological and zoological
sections. Preserved in the
palaeontological section, the remains of a
vertebrate's skeleton, which
was found in Binagadi Lake, are one of the
unique museum exhibits. The
various invertebrates and vertebrates (such as
fish, amphibia, reptiles,
birds, and mammals) are presented in the
zoological section. The samples
of minerals and ores form the basis of the
geological section.
Specialization of the museum is palaeontology of
the vertebrates.
