Brief description: The museum is the cultural and educational institution engaged both in research and propaganda not only of Abdulla Shaig's life and activity but also of his colleagues' activity - writers and teachers of that time. Memorial exhibits and domestic appliances, books, manuscripts, works of art, programs and posters, negatives lay at the heart of this collection.
Among the exhibits of the fund there are rare bibliographic editions: the first school textbooks created by Abdulla Shaig. More than 100 of valuable manuscripts, one part of which constitute the unpublished library - critical works of the writer, are presented in museum fund. The manuscripts of Abdulla Shaig's works that have never been published before, written by him in period of repression, are kept in the museum as well. Up to 500 photo-exhibits are collected in the museum. A number of valuable rare photos of the 19th century displaying life and creative work of Abdulla Shaig is available in "The Original photos" fund.
The collection of the museum also includes the materials (manuscripts, publications, documents) about life and activity of Shaig's elder brother Yusif Ziya Talibzade, who was the renowned public, political, state and religious figure.
